Frequently asked questions

Which tariff applies if i operate my VoIP phone from another country? As long as broadband internet is available, it doesn't matter where you attach your VoIP phone, all rates are charged the same, regardless of your geographic location.

Will it cost me anything to receive incoming calls? No, incoming calls do not cost you a penny and will only cost the caller the same as if they were calling a regular number with that prefix.

Can i have more than one VoIP phone/number? Yes, you can have multiple phones and numbers, as long as they are connected to different broadband connections. Usually in different buildings.

How much does it cost to ring another VoIP number in another building? Nothing, calls between your different VoIP phones are totally free.

What telephone numbers are available? You are free to choose the STD code, from John O'Groats to Lands End, for example Bodmin, Cornwall would be 01208 or you could choose an 0845/0870 number. The remaining digits are chosen randomly.

How complicated is it to setup? Its very straight forward, we take some details and allocate you a  VoIP number. All the hard work of setting up is done for you. Our trained engineers will deliver and install your VoIP system for you.

Does the system have a voicemail facility? Yes, if you're VoIP phone is not plugged in, busy or left unanswered, your caller will be offered to leave a message which you can retrieve later. You can also choose to receive an email to notify you of any missed calls.

Can i use my existing telephones to make VoIP calls? Yes, if you would prefer to use your existing telephones(s) you would just require a VoIP number and adaptor, rather than a VoIP handset. See products page for more information.

Do i need a PC to get the benefits of VoIP? No, you do not need a PC, just a broadband connection, a router and a VoIP handset or adaptor+normal telephone.
